E-15 gasoline

Small engines and ethanol seem to be a different story. My 4 year old Toro manual cautions strongly against the use of E-15. Lowes, and I imagine Home Despot will sell you "pure" gasoline for about $4 per QUART. If you google pure gasoline you can probably find stations in your area selling gas without ethanol.

I used to do my own auto repairs: carb rebuilds (remember them), clutch jobs, brake work, wheel bearings, cooling system work, exhaust system work. At one time it was almost fun, not to mention the money saved and personal satisfaction. The fun is gone. Accessibility problems, the sheer complexity of modern cars have driven me from the field, along with advancing age.:) Good mechanics have my respect and thanks. When I find one I stay with him...or her, as the case may be. The hourly rate may seem high, but have you ever lain under a car trying to remove a stubborn muffler, with rust flakes and dirt raining on you, and the temperature in the 90s? I have, and never again.
