I have the pre-formed grip on two of my LXes. The grip in your picture is gorgeous! It must have been hand carved.

Love my black MX. Scarcity lends attraction and value.

I was able to score the case for one of my LXs. Lovely workmanship. Ah, remember the days when virtually every camera, from cheap and cheerful Japanese rangefinders to the finest Pentax typically came with a case?

Those LXs are gorgeous! I like that they are obviously used, but not abused. Somewhat battle-worn. The replacement covering is well-chosen. (I have one in dark blue, but it is perhaps not immediately noticeable.) Where did you get the grip? Did you carve it yourself? I have the pre-formed grip, but your grip is fabulous.

I have my Father's AsahiFlex IIa. Lovely little camera, it resembles a screw mount Leica with a folding waist level finder. Fit and finish are exemplary. The top shutter dial rotates on exposure, since my Father was left-handed and -eyed his nose sometimes fouled the rotating dial. I need to send it to Eric for an overhaul.
Here's a description Asahiflex IIa - Pentax M37 Screwmount SLRs - Pentax Camera Reviews and Specifications Note that the table says "no depth of field preview." This is incorrect; since all lenses were pre-set diaphragms they per force had depth of field preview since they had to be stopped down to the preset shooting aperture before releasing the shutter.:)

Love the red leather!
One of my LXs was covered in navy blue by the prior owner, nice but perhaps too subtle. And the AF400T "indoor nuke" is classic, just be careful about blistering paint at close range. Of course, unless you have the Power Pack for it, which nowadays is made of Unobtainium, best carry a LOT of AA cells, the Nuke does have an appetite. BTW, the sync cable for the front panel connector is far less convenient than the hot shoe cable, but it is needed if you use the Finder Base and its attachments.
Hmmm. I have three LXs. (Some of us have little self control!) One in blue. Should I recover the others in red and white, for a patriotic look?
