Does a tree, falling alone in a forest, make any sound?

Found it.
It is a variety of Osteospermum. I'm gonna have to get some for my garden.

Looks like a crowd of purple faced people sitting in grandstands at the game.

Those magnolias look great in full bloom. I always enjoyed passing through the Lonestar this time of year and see them.
We have several magnolias around here, I need to get some images of them when they are in bloom. The star magnolias have much smaller flowers than the Texas ones, around 2" or so. There are several larger varieties, with flowers about 4" or so, and many variations of colors from white to lavender and violet. They are awesome in full bloom, as they flowers come before the leaves, so the whole tree is the colors of the flowers before the leaves emerge.

Yes, I suppose so. Even after spending nearly $50 for adapters and lens caps I'm still miles ahead over even more mainstream lenses.

Reecently I picked up a couple of Hanimex M42 thread mount lenses at a local thrift store. One is a 35mm f2.8, the other a 135mm f2.8. Here is a rose from my garden today. It's been raining all day so I thought I'd try some macro. I mounted the 135 with #2 & #3 Asahi Pentax extension tubes to my K5IIs. Rose by Racer, on Flickr
By the way, I paid $4.99 each for the lenses. M42 to PK adapters, a lens hood for the 135, and front and rear caps cost more than both lenses combined.
