After thinking about it for a long time, I have finally picked up one of these lenses. It is smaller and more well made than I expected. The zoom action is quite smooth. The AF is very fast. The bokeh is nice, colors are nice. As long as you don't pixel peep and expect perfect sharpness with 100% crops (like I've gotten used to with the DA*'s) it's plenty sharp.
I am seriously considering selling my DA* zooms and just having this little guy for a while. It's just the right blend of compromises for where I'm at with photography lately. The DA*'s are honestly well above my pay grade.
