Ivan, the EXIF on the last photo shows the photo shot at f2.4 with the lens being an A lens. What mount is on that lens and can you explain the aperture setting?

Our discussion on the M 35-70mm motivated me to pick up the lens and visit the local arboretum today. Here are a few of the shots.

Have you ever thought about the M 35-70 f2.8-3.5? It's a stellar lens and very inexpensive.

I want to share my love for the M 35-70 f2.8-3.5, it's a gem of a lens. Here's an example, original and crop, shot with a K-5iis. It's from a jpeg with minimum pp. Cross post from the M Club. |

Vivitar Series 1 90-180mm f4.5 on a K-5iis, shot at 180mm, handheld, SOOC.
Saw these mallards standing on the ice, a good way away. I was taken by the reflection of the trees across the ice, accentuated by the ducks.. |

It was a cold and blustery day on the southern shores of Lake Erie but a great day for photos. I don't know if my model agrees with me. :)

Here's a better look, caught in action this morning. It was diving for food, the 2nd picture was coming out of the water after a dive. After it settled on the rock, it felt it needed t pose for me. :)

Thanks, I'm not up on my birds but I was thinking it might be big for a duck.

Caught this duck in flight, very heavy crop. I'm surprised at the detail, given the circumstances. K-5iis + Vivitar Series 1 90-180mm

Took my old Vivitar Series 1 90-180mm F4.5 Flat Field zoom for a walk in the park today, shot some flowers, bees and ducks. Posted a few pics on the Vivitar club thread, here's one for this club.
