Two shots from yesterday, walking along a trail and spotting 2 mallards swimming in a flooded area off the river. They were moving fairly fast and there was a lot of branches and debris between my vantage point and the water. I didn't have any clear shots but took a few anyhow, not sure how they would turn out. Upon viewing, found them to be quite interesting, in an abstract sort of way. Shot with my K-5iis and A* 300mm with F 1,7x AF adaptor.

Would have been better if it were a genie in a bottle. :)

The K 200/2.5 is a marvelous lens. Yes, it has its shortcomings but its positives far outway its negatives. I also have the M 200/4, which I like a lot, but it doesn't compare to the 200/2.5.

I think you would enjoy it. SunValley.

The 200/2.5 is actually a K lens, I erred in posting it in the A club thread. It is, however, a great lens. The 1st shot of the silo and feed elevator was taken wide open, cropped with minimum pp of the jpg. It's a recent purchase so I'm still getting to know it.

Nice shot SunValley.

Still learning how to use the 200/2.5 but I think I'm going to enjoy this lens.

Looks like you have that A-400mm under your control, already. Looking forward to more pics.

Thanks, Norm. I've had my eyes on the 150-450 for awhile but that purchase is a long way off. Given your input, I'll likely stick with my 300mm.

What's your overall impression of the A 400mm, Norm? I've been thinking of that lens for some time. Nice shots, by the way.
