Fanotec totally improved on the existing *300/*60-250 clamp by making the tooth pull rather than push closed, and with a safety knob that cannot be loosened unless you extend it first.
Optionally an arca Swiss foot is integral to the design so an extra plate is not needed.
If anyone is at all concerned about the OEM tripod attachment it is worth looking into.

Initial specs say KAF3 so unless that changes it would be NO.
And actually the mount designation on the body should be KAF2 to support screw drive lenses so the KAF3 spec is suspect.

If that happens sign someone else's name on the non-disclosure agreement so you can tell us all about it. :)

Pretty sure it will be under glass as it is too soon. When they say 'exhibition of a reference product' it means they are not ready to let you play with it yet.

I've had my Bigma for a couple of years and I do appreciate the 50-150 range that this unit won't give me for school football sideline shooting.
Unless the Pentax zoom has much better IQ I think I will keep my Bigma.

Now, the 70-200 with WR and it being a Star lens? I would definitely consider selling my Sigma 70-200 OS for that! :)

I suspect that with the camera being aimed at pro users the pop up will be left off.
The prism housing design looks like film cameras and the Nikon Df.
If they added a flash it would make the camera even taller and I think they want to keep it compact.

This doesn't look right. There is no reason to think the FF will be narrower than the K-3, but it should be taller.
Once you line up the sides the FF will be a bit taller.

It would have to as all FA Limited and FA primes in production are screw drive.
After the 70-200 now they only need to announce a D FA normal zoom and they have a full complement of FF lenses to support the camera at release.
