A couple of outdoor festivals the last two weekends meant the 50-200 came out with me: |

Wow, thanks! I don't know about "talent" though - mostly, it's practice and experience. The real talent is being displayed by the folks *in* the pictures - although I'm sure they would say exactly the same about practice and experience.
I do find it rather humbling to look back at my shots over the last several years and see just how much they've improved.

I performed at the Telluride Jazz Celebration last weekend and had the opportunity to take lots of pictures of the other performers. Most events were during the day, and the DA50-200 did the bulk of the work. I even continued to use it quite a bit into the evening, as the stage lighting was decent. Here are some highlights:
Dan Hicks (200mm, f/6.7):
Chuchito Valdes (200mm, f/5.6):
Dianne Reeves (200mm, f/5.6):
Hazel Miller (200mm, f/5.6):
Lew Tabackin (200mm, f/5.6):
Dr. Lonnie Smith (200mm, f/6.7):

Raul Midon (138mm, f/5.6):
Hiromi (180mm, f/5.6):
Larry Coryell (160mm, f/6.7):
Karl Denson (200mm, f/6.7):

Went up to the mountains yesterday so I grabbed the 50-200 to supplement my usual primes, just in case I saw any wildlife. Got this "Rufous" (?) hummingbird:

A couple more from the DA50-200, which was still on my camera after the outing on 4th so I decided to give it some more love. Both at 200mm, f/6.7: |

Went for a little hike on the 4th with some friends for simplicity took just the 18-55 and 50-200. Also took a couple backyard shots after returning.

I can't recall if I've posted in this thread before, I've been posting shots from last weekend's JazzFest Denver in various lens-related threads, and my DA50-200 got quite a bit of use. For shots during the day, I really didn't feel I was missing out on much in terms of IQ using this instead of my primes.
