My aquarium images almost always have good bokeh because of the necessity for using the widest possible aperture in the dim light. Flash is hard to use when the subject is behind a thick sheet of Plexiglas. I'm not sure if the softness of the subject is my coffee-motion or missed focus, but I suspect both contributed.

The background bokeh isn't uniform, but the two OOF bright streaks sort of lead your eye to the primary subject. A slightly different version of this image (= not as deeply cropped) was posted some time ago, probably on a different thread.
