I see what those people are doing, but I know it isn't so.

Perhaps it will emerge as The Iceman did and become a pondered artifact in the distant future.

I've neglected to say how much I enjoyed that image. Wonderful depth and a dog who is in his element and so happy about it he's compelled to announce his joy to all within earshot.

THANK GOODNESS for the bear that the tourist is intact. ---------- Post added 11-08-15 at 08:47 AM ----------
Amen, amen, although I will confess to being a pixel-peeper desirous of owning the best possible lenses. My images look different on this laptop, on the high res monitor, and when projected by an Epson at camera club meetings (laptop is worst). Comments on some of my images by PF members suggest they look better to others than they ever do to me. Another lens feature agonized over too much is vignetting. Within the first year of doing B&W darkroom work in high school I learned about burning the corners and edges of prints slightly, especially for portraits, because it looked more "natural" to the eye and kept attention on the main subject, which by standard composition rules should never extend to the extreme edge or corner of the print (give your subject space).
