Amazing condition. The K was the "too expensive" model that caused me to purchase an "S" as my first SLR.

Do you have a 40mm f2 Voigtlander Ultron? I used one for a while it's a gem, but in comparisons to a modern Canon lens that is less expensive, the Canon edge out the Voigt for sharpness at every aperture tested.

Less gear porn than gear forlorn. I had a Heiland Pentax after my Asahi Pentax S. Auto diaphragm was a welcome addition.

The Omega B22, regular or XL, was an extremely popular enlarger along with the very big, bulky Beseler 23C in its various manifestations. I never tried color printing/enlarging and did my early B&W with a Kodak Hobbyist, then later with a Bogen B22. I used the latter to prepare probably hundreds of images for technical/scholarly publications (fossils).

Nice little 35mm rangefinder.

The Leitz enlarger, the big one pictured, had an extending arm (seen at the right in the image) that had an autofocusing mechanism that worked well IF you had the right lens (Leiiz of course) and easel. A friend had one and as I recall the autofocus was driven by a bicycle chain that was fixed at the support pole but moved a gear at the enlarger head as it was moved up and down. In turn the gear adjusted the focus (distance of the lens from the film.but I could not see how precisely that was done, I suspect the gear shaft turned the pinion of a rack-and-pinion system that in most enlargers was turned by hand.

Don't be macho and rush your recovery. It isn't worth risking permanent damage to get an image to share. Do some around-the-house shooting. Take that as a challenge to find something photogenic.;)

One of multiple reason that I bought one, although I did not realize it at the time, I believe it was the last Pentax that had a real click-stops shutter speed dial as opposed to a electronic spin-with-your-thumb wheel. But it was cheaply built. If it's brought back, build like an MX.

A ZX 5N was one of my favorite Pentax cameras. I think I got more good images with it than with my LX (BLASPHEMY!)

Is the lens an f2.2 Takumar? That was the lens that came on and went with the Asahi Pentax S, heaven knows where. One of my buddies in college had a Leica M3 with the legendary 50mm f2 Summicron. When we mixed slides taken by him and by me, a third party could not tell which camera & lens had been used. We asked camera store dealer who praised Leica above all other cameras & lenses to look at the slides projected in a dark room and tell us which lens, f2 Summicron or f2.2 Takumar, had been used for each image. He gave several excuses but basically refused to try. Which comes around to me saying the f2.2 is an excellent lens by any standard.

That is probably identical to my second Pentax camera (= a Heiland Pentax H1a) purchased following the theft of my Pentax S while I was in college. (break in to the apartment where I was renting a room on 116th street in Manhattan).

The 50mm f4 preset was my first macro, SFAIK the first dedicated macro made by Pentax. That was in the late 1950's or early 1960's soon after the lens was introduced.

As I recall the Primotar lenses were not noted for exceptional sharpness, but those many-bladed apertures delivered excellent bokeh, sometimes with a bright rim on point-light sources.

I'm not sure what MPG constitutes "hard on gas." My Forester gets about 30MPG under almost all of my driving conditions, only slightly better on a highway than locally if I use the speed control. For the size of the car and its "peppiness" I find that mileage acceptable, but if I live long enough to need a new vehicle I will look very hard at several hybrids (NOT plug-in).

Speaking of gizmos that are just advertising gimmicks. My Subaru Forester has a dial or gauge = slightly curved set of markings with a red needle that swings back and forth. It indicates the instantaneous rate of gasoline consumption, dead center = average, to the right = economic, to the left = poor mileage. The gauge is extremely sensitive - the slightest touch on the accelerator will make it swing almost fully right to left; the slightest change in the slope of the road will also move the needle halfway or more across the dial. When I first got the car I watched the needle and tried to keep the car in the low gas consumption range, Utterly impossible. Not possible to keep the dial to the right under the most innocuous driving conditions. Totally worthless dial, and possibly a dangerous distraction as you're tempted watch it instead of keeping your eyes on the road ahead.

I remember when the original Canonflex came out, about the same time as the original Nikon F. The base plate lever struck me as somewhat better than Leica's pull-across Leicavit, but still no competitor for a thumb advance. At the time I though that Canon had blown it relative to Nikon. I also remember when Canon introduced the Pellix and thinking it was doomed. Innovation from innovators who really weren't thinking like a photographer.

One of my buddies at college had an M3 and that original thumb drive, as might be expected, was buttery smooth. Cannot remember if he had an M3 with a single or doublle strok advance - double stroke being IMHO a bit pointless.

I once handled, in a store (remember photography stores?) a wind-up spring driven film advance for a Practina. I was told that winding the device tight when a cartridge of film was half used could result in the film being yanked off the spool after you shot the last frame (20th or 36th). As I was doing my own B&W processing at the time, I was very skeptical of that story.

If you think about using a Leicavit film advance gizmo, you'll quickly realize it is nowhere near as ergonomic and satisfactory as the once ubiquitous thumb advance which Leitz eventually adopted (was the first Leica with this feature the M series?)

The only Ricoh I owned was an XR-M. Feature laden, but a bit flimsy.

A-HA! So at least one of the 2000mm beasts was actually built. BTW: The 1000mm Mirror had a rotatable and removable camera mount. Rotating makes sense, but the removable piece was long (50mm maybe?) and the mount for it on the lens had a much greater diameter than the K-mount. I figured that 1) there were mounts for fitting this lens to larger format Pentax cameras (645 and 6X7) and perhaps for fitting a prism wedge to use1/25 eyepieces for astronomic use. Pentax did (does?) make some highly regarded eyepieces for astronomic telescopes in the widely used 1.25 inch standard.

I dd have that1000mm mirror lens for a while - dreadful optic. I have never seen the 2000mm mirror lens advertised anywhere new or used, in fact, I cannot remember seeing a photograph of one, only a line drawing. I did have most of the grips and wires for using my 280T flash off-camera. It would not surprise me if several of the special cases were essentially impossible to find. I traded in my LX when I went digital and sold the two 280T flash units wiith most of their accessories later. I still have a macro focus rail but never use it as I have modern, more convenient designs.

BUT: Looking back to the first post for this thread, the type of gear could be anything + photographic, audio, computer. trousers, car wax, pasta, spouse - anything. Perhaps along the way someone, hopefully the original poster, may have limited the acceptable "gear," but initially there was no specified gear that should be or could not be posted.

It might also be noted that Weegee worked with a 4X5 press camera equipped with a Kalart-style flash that used Edison #2 screw base flash bulbs. I used a Kalart flash gun and a few times used those big bulbs. They put out a LOT of light. Later I got an adapter that allowed the gun to take much smaller bayonet-base bulbs (easier to carry a dozen).
