It's a great lens. I've owned two copies, a well as an FA 77. The Rokinon does not quite have the lifelike feel that the 77 has, but it is a great portrait lens. I'm sure it would do your squirrels proud, if you could get close enough. The Bigma seems to do well with the bokeh.

The M 50 f/1.4 has some really nice bokeh, and can get nice and swirly like this when the distance between subject and background is right.

There isn't a ton of out of focus in this photo, but it would be a much different picture if the background were in focus. Plus, the FA 77 has nice transition from focus to out of focus (as illustrated by digitalis above).

Love that medium format depth of field + field of view combination. On APS-C, you'd have to do a bokeh panorama to get it.I was playing around with my K 50 f/1.2 yesterday to see what type of subject isolation at distance I could get. It's not great.
