It's a great lens. I've owned two copies, a well as an FA 77. The Rokinon does not quite have the lifelike feel that the 77 has, but it is a great portrait lens. I'm sure it would do your squirrels proud, if you could get close enough. The Bigma seems to do well with the bokeh.

This one is cross-posted to the 300mm+ club. An overlooked photo from the end of last summer. Tamron Adaptall-2 300 f/2.8. f/5.6 Summer moth by Designosophy, on Flickr ---------- Post added 01-06-15 at 01:46 PM ----------
The M 50 f/1.4 has some really nice bokeh, and can get nice and swirly like this when the distance between subject and background is right. ---------- Post added 01-06-15 at 01:47 PM ----------
I really like the mood of this photo. Nice processing.

I've seen that lens for sale at astronomical prices. Nice work with it! I hope to see more photos produced with it.

There isn't a ton of out of focus in this photo, but it would be a much different picture if the background were in focus. Plus, the FA 77 has nice transition from focus to out of focus (as illustrated by digitalis above). |

On the trails at the Crystal Bridges museum in Arkansas, there are empty picture frames. This is with the Sigma 50 f/1.4.

Here's one with the Sigma 70-300 APO. I like the little highlights in the out of focus areas. Untitled by Designosophy, on Flickr

I saw these on Flickr and I was pretty sure it was Sigma bokeh. Very nice.

Love that medium format depth of field + field of view combination. On APS-C, you'd have to do a bokeh panorama to get it.I was playing around with my K 50 f/1.2 yesterday to see what type of subject isolation at distance I could get. It's not great.
