I have never understood those that do not love that little stack of primes. It's small, sharp, renders well, has a quasi-macro, and is cheap. If you don't like it I'll give it a home, but I expect you will find a place for it in your bag. Congrats! :)

Perfectly. No field restriction. It replaces the eye cup and makes it so I don't need my glasses! 😎

K-r, Tamron 17-50/2.8 & 18-200 plus a nice little compact tripod were received today from mlynch53 (Mike) for my daughter. She decided that the Q7 in yellow was just too weird and small for her and she wanted a "read dSLR". So, when Mike posted the ideal setup for her at a reasonable price I jumped on it! She's thrilled, I'm happy, and now I need to know what to do with a Q7 in yellow with <600 shutter activations??

The Q is your friend in those situations. My Q + 03 lens is amazing for such use.

Merci. Not having had one of the cameras with that issue I had no idea what use the camera would be if not repaired.

So, can you fix the camera's malfunctioning shutter block or is it a display piece?

Just heard back from KEH. Full refund (actually tried to give me full price when I had a 10% off coupon on the purchase), FedEx back to them, and an apology. So far so good. Now to box it up tonight and get it to FedEx in the AM. Sadly I will not be able to use it this weekend at my State Championship event for which I'm the official photographer......FA-J 18-35 plus Tokina 17/3.5 are going to be my UW lenses for the event.

No shopping, order online and pick up next day at reception desk. Still, when you need it the next day its a nice option.

Sigma DG 12-24 incoming. Full frame ultra wide zoom baby!

Sold the K3, O-GPS1, back up K3 grip, F50/1.7(of my 2), and have the K-01 up on eBay. Perhaps I should list it here too. Now, which Q to sell? Q7 bumblebee with almost 0 use (gift to my daughter who traded it back to me for a K-r incoming), black Q, or White Q?

I had heard that and took a chance. It has oxidation on the zoom ring but otherwise looks pristine. I'm glad I took the chance.

KEH had a 1 day delivery time for the FAJ 18-35! Wow. It's amazingly light and the glass is pristine despite it being marked "Bargain".

Nice summary. I agree 100% with your assessment. I know that in a non-blind comparison we will always have those who claim that newer, and massively more expensive, lens is better. In a side-by-side BLIND comparison I doubt there would be a consistent and clear winner between the images.

Ah, but that is what the K-5iis would be for.......

I'm also going to sell my very low mileage K-01 in yellow and a WhiteQ plus some lenses to offset the cost of the K-1 and grip.
