A few other lenses I like to use on a Fuji that still keep it small and light even with the adapter:

IMO... Using M42 lenses on Fuji mirrorless is a good option. Those old M42 lenses were often quite small and even with the M42 to X adapter keep things rather compact. I have a fun little TeleTak 200mm f5.6 and a SuperTak 150mm f4). My X-S10 has IBIS, so it works out great.

True, Fuji is better with video, but I don't do a lot of video. If I do, it's usually with my phone.

I would say the Pentax 16-85 is better, but I have a good copy of the Fuji 16-80. It's not really been an issue for me.

I've been looking at a decently fast (near-)pancake for my X-S10 and X-T100.

The TTArtisan lenses (as compared to the 7Artisans ones) look to be geared to photo rather than video, mostly because they are clicked stops.
Has anyone had experience with the new TTArtisan 27mm f2.8 with autofocus?

Pentax KP with DA 16-85 is my bad weather kit.
Fuji X-S10 with XF 16-80 is my good weather (lighter, smaller) kit.
Here is X-S10:

I have the Fuji 15-45mm kit lens on my X-T100, and it works great. That's a fairly wide lens, so stabilization isn't that much of an issue, but I'm sure it gains me a couple stops.
When I use my K-mount or M42 lenses with an adaptor and am shooting handheld, the best I can do and achieve semi-reliable results is about 135mm.

You should also be aware that using focus peaking with the zoom in option is a bit of a problem with non-stabilized lenses because things can get rather jumpy in the EVF or on the screen.
Of course, using a tripod would make it possible to use just about any focal length.

Here's my X-T100 with the Fotasy Pentax DA > Fuji X adapter and the DA 40XS lens. Quite a compact kit!

If I understand what you're asking...
From what I heard from another person using the K&F adapter, it is clicked. I.e., you can close down in steps on the adapter. (Steps are apparently ~ 2/3 - 1 stop each)

I purchased the cheaper Fotasy Pentax DA > Fuji X adapter, and it is clickless. That might be better for video. Otherwise with my DA lenses, I'm guessing how much I'm stopping down, and each lens is different.

I've had more time to play with the Fujifilm X-T100. Some very nice things and some frustrating/annoying things...

With regards to using it with my Pentax lenses, I discovered that you can get all sorts of weird distortion if you used the electronic shutter. Using the mechanical shutter is necessary.

I'm using the Fotasy Pentax DA > Fuji X adapter. It does not have clicks to close down, so I'm always guessing at how much I've actually closed down on the DA lenses. It does work much better using lenses with aperture rings.
Focusing using peaking is easy, but it is important to use the focus magnifier. It works fine for me using the electronic view finder.
The camera does a great job with SOOC JPGs, but that is mainly the case with the Fuji kit lens. Between adjustments closing down and shooting at -2/3 EV (since the Fuji tends to overexpose during daylight shots), I have run the following through LR to touch things up.
The pics are all from a little trip we took to West Virginia

First three are all using the DA 10-17 FE. The lens and adapter are heavier than the camera, but it is still a rather compact kit. The first two are from Spruce Knob (highest point in WV) and the last is from Seneca Rocks.
Last shot using the F35-70 lens, at f5.6, I believe.

@Jonathan Mac: My Fotasy adapter doesn't have clicks. (Maybe that's better for video?) I've since discovered that K&F does have clicks, but I can't find a K&F one on Amazon. I see they are on eBay for $37. (I paid $20 for the Fotasy.) I'll have to decide whether to keep the Fotasy or not, but I would prefer clicks.I see that Adorama has a Kipon one for $85, but it doesn't say if it is clicked or not. B&H has a Vello for $56 and a Novoflex for $211 (!), but it's not clear whether those are clicked or not.
Thanks for your comments.

While I'm at it... Here are SOOC pics with X-T100. Only thing I did resize down.

This one is using the 15-45 kit lens and the red filter.

And here's one using the X-T100 with the Fotasy adapter and the Pentax DA 40XS. That combination is smaller (though a bit heavier) than the 15-45. It makes for a great walkaround, especially because the 40XS doesn't need to be closed down much to get sharp pics.

I received the Fotasy Pro Pentax DA K Mount lens to Fujifilm FX Mount Camera Adapter today. ($20 on Amazon)
Attaching the lens to the adapter and the adapter to my X-T100 body is very firm. No looseness, and if anything, a bit tight.
I checked out two lenses today: DA 10-17 FE and DA 16-85. The former is the one I was planning to use with some regularity. The latter was used as part of a comparison using the lenses on the Fuji and on my K-3.
The adapter adds about 3cm to the overall length of the lens. It's still rather compact compared to putting the lens on the K-3, but the adapter and DA 10-17 weigh about as much as X-T100 and the 15-45 kit lens!
I used the menu (Shooting Menu #4) to "shoot without lens" and set the MF Assist to Peak > Red (high). You can also input a specific focal length. There is no IBIS, but it is a handy way to set an odd number to identify a lens. (E.g., I set it to 49mm to designate that I was using the DA 16-85.)
As for shooting, I moved the adapter all the way to the Open position to manage focussing. The peak indicators work well, better on the LCD but also well enough in the EVF. The best way I found was to use the EVF and the magnification feature. With this, I was able to nail focus quite well.
The trick, however, (which will require more experimenting), is that you're just guessing when you try to stop down the lens using the adapter ring. It appears that it stops it down very quickly. I.e., just a tiny fraction of a turn probably moved the DA 16-85 from wide open to f8. (I'm guesstimating based on the shutter speeds and ISOs when comparing the same shot using the Fuji and the K-3.)

If anyone knows of a better way of managing the f-stop, I'd appreciate knowing.
As for the images...

The X-T100 did as good and usually better than the K-3 in almost all my tests. And that's with me shooting at wide open and otherwise unknown f-stops. In line w/ its reputation, the Fuji JPGs are excellent with more clarity and pop than the in-camera JPGs of the K-3. After some typical, light processing of the RAF and DNG files (setting levels, sharpening), the Fuji pics still just looked a little better. If I understand things correctly, the ~40MB RAF files are uncompressed RAW files and the ~30MB DNG files are compressed, but there seems to be lots more detail in the images.
I am not giving up on my K-3, however.
  • I was able to shoot at 85mm in decent light without motion blur on the Fuji. I don't know how much of a longer telephoto I can shoot handheld without image stabilization.

  • There is a difference in noise in the images. I'm having trouble saying which one is less noticeable or easier to clean up, but my sense is that the K-3 will do better in low light and higher ISOs.

  • The K-3 and DA 16-85 is weather resistant, and that's important at times.

  • While I've figured out ways to get geotagging data on my K-3 images (using a GPX file), the geotagging on the Fuji using the Bluetooth on my phone is proving to be excellent.

In any case, putting my Pentax lenses on the X-T100 is going to work out very well, I think. I still want to see how things go with longer lenses and some of my older lenses w/ aperture rings so that I don't need to use the aperture control on the adapter. And as I mentioned above, if anyone knows a good way to gauge the aperture settings with the Fotasy adapter, I'd be grateful.

Getting the X-T100 depended on me now selling the K-30! I will indeed put the Fuji 50-230 on my list, but I'm still firmly in Pentax land. In the interim, what I'll probably do is get the $20 Pentax DA > Fuji X adapter. That will let me use my DA lenses, and I do have the DAL 55-300.

Fujifilm X-T100 first impressions from a Pentax shooter...
I recently acquired a used X-T100 with the 15-45 kit lens. I've been carrying around a K-3 as my main body (usually with the DA 16-85) and a K-30 (usually with the DA 10-17) as my ultrawide second body and backup. Depending on the situation, I might also have some of: DA 21, DA 40XS, a fast fifty, DAL 55-300. For general purpose hiking when I want to go light, I'd use the K-30 with the 18-135.

I got the X-T100 to replace the K-30. I wanted something smaller/lighter. I tend to shoot wide, so the 15-45 sounded like a good walkaround option, and I figured I can get the proper adapters to use my old M42 lens and my DA ones. My thought was to use the K-3 with the 16-85 as my primary body, and I have had great experiences with that combo. I would use the Fuji with the 15-45 for street shooting and also use it as a second body with the DA 10-17 for ultrawide.

Things that I dislike or am getting used to:
  • It's taking a bit to get used to the button locations. Finding the wheel on the back is especially hard without looking.

  • I simply had to turn off autofocus on the touch screen (drove me crazy accidentally touching it and moving focus point)

  • I often lock the back array of buttons around the menu button, since it is too easy to bump them.

  • The camera is a bit pokey. I mainly do stills so it's not really an issue for me. (I haven't tried the oft-criticized video.)

  • It is not weather-sealed.

  • I do wish it had in-body image stabilization so that I could use my old manual lenses with more confidence.

  • The Fuji RAF files are huge. (~40MB)

Things I'm liking:
  • It is indeed much smaller and lighter.

  • This is my first camera with a tilt/turn LCD, and that's very nice.

  • The electronic viewfinder does the job for me. I like that the electronic level is a line across the screen. (The little bars on the bottom on my K-3 and K-30 mean I have to look away from my focal point, and that's been awkward at times.)

  • I'm shooting in Aperture mode and set the multipurpose dial to change exposure and the ISO button to set up some regularly used auto settings. It's also been best to just use AF-S.

  • I don't mind the PowerZoom of the kit lens. When I'm shooting with AF, the front ring works as a zoom ring. (It's a manual focus ring in MF mode.)

  • I shoot RAW with my Pentax and RAF+JPG on the Fuji. Fuji does a really nice job with JPG output. I won't feel much loss at times if I'm doing less serious work to just shoot JPG.

  • The Fuji RAF files have the Lightroom lens profile included in the file. One less step of correction.

And what about the images?
My K-3 is noticeably better than my K-30, and I was hoping that the X-T100 would be more like the K-3 than the K-30. It is. The X-T100 is a clear step up from the K-30.

In comparing the K-3 with the 16-85 and the X-T100 with the 15-45 over the same range..
  • The K-3 has 3.5 stops of stabilization. The 15-45 has 3 stops, but I'm getting less blurry results shooting handheld in lowlight with the Fuji at same focal lengths.

  • Fuji tends to blow out highlights more (and I'm using -.3EV), but I need to play with it more.

  • Do note that the 16-85 f3.5-5.6 is faster at 45mm at f4.5 than the 15-45 f3.5-5.6.

  • At the wide end (15/16mm), it really pains me to say that I get better results with the Fuji. They are similar in the center but that little Fuji kit lens does better at the edges under a variety of f-stops but mainly f8. The K-3/16-85 does a slightly better job at the 45mm end. (This is after doing typical and similar postprocessing work in Lightroom.)

  • It's clear that there are different sensors and how they are working even though they are both 24MP APS-C. The Fuji does seem to pick up finer details. (I'll have to do more testing w/ Pentax primes to see if it's a lens issue and not a sensor issue. I'm just figuring for now that the DA 16-85 should be able to stand up to the 15-45.)

  • The most noticeable difference is colorcast, especially with greens. Pentax tends to blue, Fuji to yellow. I see benefits/drawbacks of both depending on situation, and such things can be adjusted with the RAW files in LR.

  • I'm trying to describe the different types of noise in images. The K-3 has a much larger dynamic range, but at similar ISOs (e.g., 1600), there may be more noise in the Fuji images, but it's finer and mainly luminance noise that can be fixed. I.e., except in the lowest light situations, I think I'll be fine with the Fuji.

BOTTOM LINE: I'm really impressed with the X-T100 and the 15-45 lens. It's exceeded my hopes. I can't afford to buy more Fuji lenses, but now I'm wondering whether I should use the Fuji with 15-45 as my main body/lens and use the K-3 for the DA 10-17, DAL 55-300, and my other special use lenses.

Planning a trip where my K-3 will be main camera, usually with the DA 16-85. I'll also bring along my DA 10-17 FE, the 40XS just because it's so small (and maybe the DA21 too), a fast fifty for low light, and then probably my DAL 55-300 for telephoto.

I want to have something small and lightweight to carry along. (Smaller than my K-30) In terms of features (at least APSC...) and what I can afford, I'm looking at the Fujifilm X-T100 with the kit 15-45 lens. With the appropriate adapter, I figure I can use my Pentax lenses too.
I'm looking for anyone have experiences w/ the X-T100 coming from a Pentax background, and pics using Pentax lenses. (With what adapter?)

Thanks!
