Thanks, Bogie - I'm impressed with the results you're getting from that setup. I have a cheapy slide/negative scanner (HP 4850), and haven't really tested it yet. Your method looks like it could be better & faster :)

Aside from the "gull" ;), this is an interesting shot. To me it looks like it could have been taken in the 1930s - a lot of fully-clothed folks on the beach, even in the surf. Reminds me of old-time beach photos.
