Well I drove around Loveland today, flying my quad and taking some photos.
These were all shot with in 10 minutes of home using my Olympus OMD EM10 micro four thirds camera and 12-40mm lens.
I wanted to shoot B&W and I wanted the photos to bee a little more dramatic, so I used a 720nm IR filter over the lens. So these were shot using Infrared light. Loveland IR 1 by Andrew Marjama, on Flickr Loveland IR 2 by Andrew Marjama, on Flickr Loveland IR 3 by Andrew Marjama, on Flickr Loveland IR 4 by Andrew Marjama, on Flickr
I am REALLY liking shooting in Infrared. It really gives a different look to photos. Color IR is great, but I really like B&W IR. I'm sure I'm going to be shooting B&W Infrared photos A LOT!

I haven't hiked or shot any photos for about a month, so it was good to get back out there again.
Here's one I shot with my large format film camera during a rainy/snowy hike out on the Colorado/Wyoming border.
Shot using my Zone VI 4x5 and Fujinon W 125mm F5.6 lens on Foma 200 at 120 ISO developed in Pyrocat MC for 8.5 minutes. Red Mountain by Andrew Marjama, on Flickr

Both are great. I REALLY like that first one though! ---------- Post added 02-01-15 at 03:43 PM ---------- Here's one I just scanned in. From last weeks hike in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Its been about a month since I shot with my large format camera, so this morning, I headed up the local canyon for some early morning photography.
We had some snow yesterday and it was a cold 2° F this morning. This was my first time using my large format camera in such cold conditions, which made for some not so easy photography. I've had my eyepiece on my DSLR fog up occasionally, but when using a ground glass for composing/focusing, it is a whole other matter.
That and a frozen tripod made it a little harder than normal for shooting. My shutter also didn't like the cold temperatures. I could only use down to 1/8 sec. shutter, the slower settings were too slow because of the cold.
I'll be removing the lubricant from my large format shutters and finding a better method for keeping my ground glass free of ice before I head back out with it.
Anyway, here is one of the photos I shot today. Shot with a Zone VI 4x5 large format camera on Fomapan 200 using a Nikon SW 180mm F5.6 lens. Shot through a 25A Gel filter and processed using HC-110 Dilution H at 8.5 minutes. Big Thompson Canyon 16 Nov 2014 1 by Colorado CJ, on Flickr

Here's a photo I just finished. This was taken last weekend while out hiking in the Indian Peaks Wilderness of Northern Colorado.

Just a photo I took this morning with my 4x5 large format camera. This one was taken about 10 minutes from home, in "The Narrows" area of the Big Thompson Canyon.
The rock walls are full of crystalline structures, so they really shine when the light hits them right.
I'm starting to get the hang of the large format camera. It is VERY different than shooting with a digital camera and even much different than other film cameras. I used front tilt and rise on this shot since I had to shoot upwards and needed to change the perspective to get the rock walls upright again instead of looking like they were "falling away". This image would be impossible to get to look this way without using a camera that has movements. The perspective would just be too off.
Anyway. this was taken with a Zone VI 4x5 large format camera on Fomapan 200 film. Shot using a Nikkor SW 180mm F5.6 lens through a red 25A filter. Processed in HC-110 (dilution H) for 9 minutes. Life on the Edge by Colorado CJ, on Flickr

Both of these shots are excellent! Great mood and the model fits the scene well. ---------- Post added 08-09-14 at 05:31 PM ---------- I picked up a bulk loader for 35mm at the local surplus. It was filled with a roll of Technical Pan expired in the early 80's.

Very nice. I really like the effect. ---------- Post added 08-06-14 at 06:19 PM ---------- Here's a couple I just finished scanning. Well my scanner came in today. I can't believe how easy it is compared to my previous way of digitizing.
I am getting MUCH better output, very close to how my wet prints look.
Here are a couple quick scans of two shots I took with my new (to me) Zone VI 4x5 camera last weekend while out camping. Both of these shots are nothing special, just a couple of quick snaps while I am learning how to shoot with a large format camera. They look MUCH better large on my screen. Compressing and shrinking them for the web really robs them of their depth. Old-Camp-26-July-2014 by Colorado CJ, on Flickr
This one was shot during a drizzle after the sun went behind the mountains. I exposed the film for 8 seconds (I guessed that would be enough) and got this. Rushing-Mountain-Stream-26-July-2014 by Colorado CJ, on Flickr
Both of these shots were made with a Fujinon W 125mm F5.6 lens. Shot on Foma 200 and developed in Rodinal at 50:1 for 8 minutes.
This scanner is going to open up a new world for me for shooting film. I can't wait to see what I can come up with.

One I just finished digitizing.
This was my second shot taken on my new (to me) large format camera, a Wista Zone VI 4x5.
It was high noon and a lot of haze in the air, so not much good for taking photos. I was excited to try the new camera out though, so I hopped on my bike and headed up into the mountains.
Shot using my new Wista Zone VI 4x5 camera and Nikkor SW180mm F5.6 lens. Shot on Foma 200 film with a 25A Red Gel at 160 ISO. Developed in Rodinal at 50:1 for 8 minutes.
And the camera that took the shot.
This thing is tiny, folding up to a 7.5" x 8" x 3.5" package. The perfect large format camera to pack along for the ride. Wista-Zone-VI-1 by Colorado CJ, on Flickr

Here are a few shots I got while my nephew and I were out hiking a couple weeks ago. The winds were really blowing, to say the least (70+ mph) I got knocked off my feet during a couple of gusts and my tripod didn't work too well. The winds blew the heavy duty tripod right over (luckily I caught my camera before it hit the ground).
Despite all that, It was a fun day on the mountain. I'll take rain, snow or high winds any day in the high country compared to the best of days in the flat lands :D

I took this today with my medium format film camera. The photo was taken at Hoseshoe Park in Rocky Mountain National Park close to sunset. The sun was setting just behind the mountain to the left, briefly lighting up the lone tree on the hill.
I intentionally didn't crop the film borders fully, I kind of like the effect of showing the film edge on some photos.

I went to Rocky Mountain National Park yesterday for some hiking and photography. I lugged the RB67 around as well as an Olympus OM1.
Developed the roll last night using Xtol at 1:1. Film used was Delta 100 shot at 100.
Tonight I digitized the first negative from the roll. This is my 3rd roll I've ever developed and the 3rd roll through the Mamiya.
I am EXTREMELY happy with the Mamiya and absolutely love using it. I am very new to film and it brings a whole new love of photography to me (I usually shoot digital).
Anyway here is the photo from tonight. RB67-13-OCT-2013-1 by Colorado CJ, on Flickr

Bought some old darkroom stuff from CSU today. One piece was a contact film printer. I'm using it instead as a lightbox for digitizing my medium format negatives with my camera.
Works much better than the jerry rigged tablet I was using. Here's one of my negatives I digitized today. Ended up being 80 megapixels
