This is a nice shot, but the plane is too dark.
I hope, you don't mind that I tried some modification on your photo. I used only pixlr.
The aim was to bring back more details of the plane. I modified the curves and levels (cut highlights and some dark also, and set the gray point on a lower value on the input, and cut the highlights on the output. Then I modified the curves, and at last some local contras was added with the unsharp mask (little sharpening with the maximum radius).
The result is far from perfect, just a quick realization of an idea.
