The stone walls are naturally like that, it is unpolished granite, and it is a church from the X century, so very old, and the floor stones are tombs that used to had drawings carved but a lot of detail disappeared with time. You can still see something but the picture did not capture very well. As for the lighting i tried several exposures, but the light coming from the door was too much, so i waited a bit and a cloud passed in front of the sun and decreased a lot the light intensity... inside the church is very dark, even with the small lights on the ceiling (as usual in medieval buildings of romanesque style), so it helped to create the contrasts.
In PP i only sharpened it and converted it to B&W.

Thanks! I am so glad Pentax produces quality products at a reasonable price. A graduate student like me (with a veeeery tight budget) cannot thank them enough ehehehehe. I love Pentax!
