I've not been submitting to PEG for a long time, when I clicked submit I got this message: You have exceeded the maximum number of allowed file uploads in this category.
What's the limit now?

Travis, to me this is a fine shot and do not deserve that kind of comments.
if you look at PEG there are few bad ones and I wonder how they were accepted? National Geographic standard?
As commented in the earlier few posts, judges should give constructive comments and not rude ones. There's no need to stress on the uniqueness of PEG and strict requirements (how come there are some poor shots accepted? unique?) without giving constructive comments.

As some of them are licensed for sales, those images in PEG does not bear watermark and they are of higher resolution, people can simply download instead of buying, not fair to buyers who spend money to purchase.

Thanks Susan. :)
Hope to see more of your work in PEG. ;)
Adam, btw I didn't receive Site Supporter status and Marketplace access when I reached 10 accepted PEG images and now I've hit 15...I guess now when I asked for removal of the images, these incentives are no longer applicable? |

I realised I could not delete any of my images from PEG, when I clicked I don't see any Removal button.
Can the Admin of PEG help to remove all my 15 images as some of them are requested for licensing.
Thanks.

Me too, +10.
Though the judging system has improved, there's still a minority of rude and mean judges. Why do they have to pass sacarstic comments? Why can't they give constructive ones?
I've not submitting for quite a while becos of these rude and mean judges untill lately I submitted 2, 1 still pending and 1 got approved today, still I see mean and sacarstic comments. If majority of the judgfes likes the image why this minority is so negative about it? Yes, very negative, not even neutral, the comments are so mean as if the image is a piece of trash. The image has won top awards in pixoto, get Explored in Flickr with loads of positive comments, 60+ fav within a day and just received from Getty Images to license for sales, is the image really that bad to deserve such rude comments? Or those people have poor judgement or bad eyesight? Got several comments on nice colors and nice tone from majority of the judges while this particular judge can comment distracting colors. Hmm...I'm wondering.....:hmm:

I find the new judging system better, most of the judges gave constructive comments unlike previously.
I've only submitted 2 pics with relatively good comments and scoring and 1 almost make it but due to dust spots, didn't re-submit again though.
btw one of the judges even leave down his name/id for PM of more comments, think is Dr Orloff if I'm not wrong.

Agree that some of the earlier ones are of lower quality.
Just asking is there any chance of increasing the limit of 10 entries max for each member?

Actually the pic that I posted is the one that I've removed the spider web (it's actually hardly visible with only 3-4 hair lines). I followed the comment to remove the 'spider web', resubmitted it & I got back the same comments. Like yeatzee, this is the part which I don't understand unless the comment refer to the little white strings on the twig itself as what yeatzee found out? Hence I ended there, never further edit the pic to remove the little white strings as I wanted the pic to to retain the "nature look".

Thanks & glad you like the shrike pic. :)
Same like you, I shoot birds more than other things.
One of my favorite series (got 100% 6 votes 5 stars at this time of posting): https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/post-your-photos/137579-nature-laced-woodpecker.html
I submitted pic #1 got rejected reason being not sharp on the fur of the neck.
The fur of this bird on the neck area in real fact is soft, so technically I don't know how to get it sharp.
So I resubmitted #6 & got this: Great sharpness
Great colors
Great pose
Great shot!
Sharp capture of this interesting bird. It doesn't quite have the 'wow' factor of a previous portrait capture of the same bird. I got 200+ shots of this bird & I really don't know which pic should I re-submit next?
I feel that the judging committe lack of some nature or bird photographers. ;)

I also think might be too many submissions..so the voting stardard also raised but if every vote is positive without any negative voting, how come still rejected is something I really don't understand.
Few more cases...
Case 1: pic: Oriental Pied Hornbill - Pentax User Photo Gallery Very Nice, yes vote! Nice shot and a bit comical! Looks like he/she did not get dressed right! Nice PoF Nice composition. A Perfect capture!
This one got rejected becos of the comment Looks like he/she did not get dressed right! ?
Case 2:
pic: https://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/images/32209/2_IMGP6053.jpg Good sharpness and clarity. It would be a yes if it were not for the slightly distracting spider web alongside the twig.
IMHO I felt that there's nothing wrong since it's part of nature?
Was wondering if I really remove them will the pic be accepted?
This is rather discouraging as I can see other accepted bird pic with messy twigs & branches.
Recevied 2 feedback to submit other pics instead of birds but birding is my main interest as 95% of my pics are bird shots. :(

I've been submitting pics to PEG. If accepted will feel happy if not I'll base on the constructive comments & try to improve & resubmit again. :)
Recently I have a pic rejected with this comments :
Below you will find comments on your photo. You might want to re-submit an edited version of your photo depending on the circumstances!
Nice composition
Nice DoF
Nice pose! A

I was puzzled the pic rejected when there's no negative/constructive comments?
Anyone has any idea?
