Friends, Led Zeppelin : Composer Jimmy Page, Album: Led Zeppelin [Box Set] Disc 1
We had this on 8-track and would crank up the volume as we were driving down Rabbit Ears pass into Steamboat Springs to go skiing. Back in those days we could buy a tank of gas for my 64 1/2 Mustang, a tow ticket, and lunch for $20. Brings back memories.

Where did you get the idea that Led Zeppelin plagiarized this song. The composer was listed in the jacket notes and she is listed as the composer in the metadata off the CD. This is similar to most metadata for songs from the CD's I own (I do not download music from the web because downloaded music has the potential of not paying the artists for their work). As far as I know, Zeppelin credited the song as "traditional" on their first album, which was the same credit that Joan Baez gave the song on her album. The arrangement for the Zeppelin was credited to Page as is most common in the world of music. Brendon agreed to split royalties in the 80's once she was made aware of the Zeppelin track and credit to her writing was added to subsequent issues (including the boxed CD set I own). Since Baez used the song with incorrect writer credits on her album and Zeppelin used that information for their rendition, I think that putting blame on Zeppelin is a misleading if not disingenuous.
As for Miley Cyrus, there is very little that she has done that I enjoy. If the only thing you can do is be almost naked on stage, that does not mean that you are a good singer. Her rendition is an obvious copy of the Zeppelin arrangement with little to do with the Baez, Plebs or other arrangements.
Anyway, my apologies to the thread in general for this somewhat off topic entry. As I am not on my desktop, but my old 2008 laptop with no music - right now I am not listening to anything. There is music in the room, but that is a coming from a PBS period drama - i.e. no idea of the tune's name.

It is interesting to listen to both versions. I did not know that Joan Baez did this song and I have never heard her sing it before. It is a go-to song for those of us who grew up listening to Led Zeppelin. The Zeppelin version reminds me of my trips off to go skiing in my buddies car - he had the original Zeppelin record on 8-track tape. It's a beautiful song, but I like the Zeppelin version more.
Heck, even the Plebs did a cover of it. Miley Cyrus tried to sing it, but Wow, what a abomination that was... Good Grief.
Anyway - now:
