I tried the NIK for a month, but I forgot to buy it. The only featured I used was the B&W silver lighting?

Did you download the NIK? I am always afraid of downloading stuff for free.

Great shots, those bugs were nice to pose for you. How did you manage to get so close and they did not fly away? Were you doing the laundry by the river side?

Thanks, me too. I have been so busy, but this weekend I use it. Even better, I will take a shot of the lens on the camera.

Interesting work. I will keep an eye on the blog. Back in the day, we used electrical conductivity to develop soil (and groundwater) profiles. Later on, we would design and build groundwater wells. Thanks, and keep documenting the blog with photos. Pepe

Nice job. I saw your photos and noticed what seems to be several scientists or professors doing something in the ground along a path set by two strings with what seems to be some kind of measuring device. Pardon my curiosity, what were they doing?

Actually, I have three. The one I used for the samples above (and the best IMO) is the pre-set.

The 35/3.5 soft? Maybe there is something else wrong. That is the sharpest little thing.

That lens rocks. You should try the sam on 135/3.5 or the 85/1.9!

You reminded me why I got it and why I like it, the 3D effect. Now, I am miserable, I sold it couple of months ago.!!

Either one is fine. The 8-element is just a bragging thing. I think I have a 7-element that I may want to part with for less than that. I need to check if it is still there and put it for sale at the Buy/Sell section.

I have the three versions for collection, but I always use the 49mm version. I am going to have to do a test to compare and see what happen.s

There are several lenses in those pictures. It is not just one lens photograph several times. The second shot shows the preset scales of the Macro-Takumar 50/4, others may be of the S-M-C Tak 50/4.

The Helios 44 was made after the Biotar, different form the Sonnar. I have the Helios 44-3 and the Tak 58/2. If I want artistic effects emphasizing the bokeh, the Tak/Sonar is the winner. If I want sharpness and some bokeh too, the Helios 44-3. Let me see what I can post:
All shots wide open:
