guys...

can we get a a 2-3 photos PER POST maximum?

even my work connection is getting bottlenecked, thats alot of bandwith.

if you want to post a tone of pictures just split it up in a number of posts, that way it just makes for more pages and less demanding on the browser.

here is a FA43 shot at wide open in a museum

everyone always says that..

but isnt that simply a matter of contrast (user adjustable) and depth of field?

take any lens that can go to F2.0 or less, pick a nice subject matter and viola, you get 3d pop.

example: F1.8

the sigma 30 F1.4 is on my to get list

i was going to buy it recently but a very cheap 28mm F1.8 dropped into my lap so i'm using that for now.

seeing the results of the 28mm f1.8, compared to my FA50 and FA43, id say that unless sigma did something drasticly different in their 30 F1.4 piece, you wont be disappointed with it.

the FA 43 lens hood also fits my FA50, and my DA21, and the FA35.. and probably a bunch of other lenses as well

its very sleak and the felt lined cap makes it easier to use since you dont have to squeeze anything.

where can i buy replacements?

notice i said "modern".

i'll be hard pressed to find Nikon and Canon owners that can recall a pancake lens for their bodies.

the cool thing about owning the 40mm, is that you can boast having the worlds smallest modern lens

i myself have the 43, and am happy with it, but at the same time i'm just as happy with my 35 and 21 with no noticable IQ differences across the board

i'm certain that given a 40mm i wouldnt notice a difference, but apperantly it is there.

my lens came with the lens hood attached

without the lens hood you cant put on the OEM lens cap

and what sort of manufacturer would ship a lens without the lens cap on? :hmm:

you'll know you have taken a picture of something interseting when alot of people comment on that particular picture and tell you "thats very interesting"

typicaly this is either derived from either composition, colours (or the otherwise choice of colours derived from post processing), or clarity/sharpness of the shot.

like i commented earlier your pictures look very compressed, are you using the lowest quality jpeg setting in your camera? The quality of all of your photos, to my eyes, are no better than any typical p&s could achieve.

also, again, are you leaving the camera in auto mode and letting it do its thing?

what mode are you shooting in?

also they all seem overly compressed, are you shooting in jpeg? if using RAW, what program are you using to convert?
