I think that if you're a beer lover, a trip to the US would probably be worth it for the microbrews alone. It's really remarkable how far we've come in 20 to 30 years.
Ruthless Rye is definitely one of my new favorites. :)

I typically don't go above 25-35 clarity if I want to avoid haloing in high-contrast areas. However, LR4 has eliminated haloing to an extent.

Haloing is often caused by excessive use of the "clarity" slider in LR.

Your friend is a bit off the mark IMO... my 77 is sharper than my 70 was and the bokeh is indeed better. The CA is certainly worse, though, and it is somewhat bigger.
