I always hate when people reply to a question I've spent time on with "have you tried Google?" I mean, duh...
But I wonder if you've tried contacting Pentax repair businesses to see if they sell parts. Perhaps you can mail order something?

And this one: Genuine Pentax Replacement Parts from USCamera.com (scroll down; there is a "counter dial cover" listed as part #23704-C312).
