Try some pit roasted pork sometime. Slow cooked back ribs are a distant second.

There is a topic here?
Now for dinner I am preparing the Farmer's Market July dinner. That would be cooked down, fresh green beans with new taters and bacon juice. Out of the can I am making stewed tomatoes southern style. I am saving those locally grown, really ripe ones for my Bologna sammiches.

I'm still reading but posting little as I am drowning in rental clean up and repair project. The only photography is documenting the damages in case I am lucky enough to locate the former tenants.

My MIL always started with a block of cheese and spent hours making this. This adaption is for lazy people with a small food processor.
As close to the original as possible where no written recipe existed.
1 - 8 ounce bag of fine shredded sharp cheddar
2 ounce (by weight) of finely diced onion
1/4 cup of real mayo ( you may add more later if desired).
1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
5 drops of Tabasco
1 rounded TBS of tomato ketchup (Heinz suggested)
Process
Run the onion (+ garlic if used) in food processor (knife blade) until as diced as much as possible for such a small amount.
Rinse bowl and dice half the cheese, remove and do the other half, add the wet stuff to the second half and mix well, pour into bowl and add the first batch of cheese.
** Crank it up!
3 jelly bean sized cloves of fresh garlic and double the Tabasco. Also many will like double the onion.
Best when aged overnight in a sealed container.
Great on your favorite cracker or crunchy snack. I like Ritz.
For those who might want the beer cheese recipe, here is one I found on the web (typos included):

Beer cheese (spread) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Not the best article but reasonably accurate.
There are 2 methods of making the cheese spread. One uses flat beer as the liquid and the other uses a small amount of mayo. I personally prefer a modified version of my MIL's mayo based recipe. Most of the commercial prepared brands are over processed so that the result is more like cheeze whiz with a zip. When we make it at home it is more like a not so creamy pimento cheese (the cheese is finely diced or ground).
Sharp cheddar, mayo, a little ketchup, finely diced onion and garlic, a touch of Worcestershire and Tabasco. What's not to like? Will provide an accurate recipe if desired.

I know that companies in the US are prone to roll out stuff by regions.
Something new we have on the shelves here is Bacon flavored Ritz crackers. They go so good with cheese or beer cheese that I thought I should make this group aware of their existence. :)
Since I am going to be buying a lot of these I can't possibly buy a K-3.

I'm glad you brought up weather as I did not want to take us off topic. :)
The Admiral says I can't even think about buying a K3 until I help her with her trip. She is planning to visit the Rapid City / Mount Rushmore area around Sept 20-25 and wonders what she might expect weather wise. Having noticed that SD weather is a lot like KY (never completely predictable) what would you advise her?

I was told that the clutch is the weak link for towing purposes. Whether that is really true or not I don't know.
If I buy a new one I imagine I will go with an auto since I am tired of shifting gears.

That could get ugly real quick. :)
Back when I smoked I gave cigarets and the wife gave up caffeine for a news years resolution one time. By 6 pm each was releasing the other. It was either that or someone was going to die.

I use Asus MBs and the one I built in Jan 13 did not. It also only had one IDE port. It did have 6-8 SATA ports.
I sorta suspect IDE will be the next to go.

My love for that lens should be well known by now. You just don't attract attention when you use it.
And, whomever was doing the wedding should get off the fence and add one to his bag.
