It is well deserved and a nice image to boot. I assume you aren't getting paid what they are worth by a local paper so quality for low cost is hard to beat.

Nice to see we share the same sense of humor. Many of those bicycle / backpacking shots would be called gently rolling hills by the same group.

Looks like you made very good use of it for the first time out. I can't wait until you get some practice using it. :)

I need to say that is certainly one of the more unique captures I have seen with this lens.
I await more from you.

I don't own the 15 but I took this with the 21. I see very few bedrooms, they would not meet BOCA, smaller than an interior cabin on a cruise ship. Six mm adds a bunch of width. This was a no flash capture. ship-cabin by Colbyt69, on Flickr
To establish perspective, the coke bottle in the lower left corner was sitting on the dresser which was on the wall opposite the mirror.

IMO, that is a very good way of saying that. Several members here take great shots with the 15 and more than a few are outstanding. Like you I do not think that would be the case with me pushing the shutter.

I have to admire you. Walking on snow with a DSLR is almost beyond me. Taking one skying would be a definite invitation to disaster.

One does get some strange looks walking around with the 40 or 21 also. People just don't quite know what to think.

I do concur that that this last one especially is a very nice entrance.
How long did you wait for that shot?
