That camera still has a fair number of fans because its image rendering is considered artful.
About six years ago, I was shooting a soccer match with my corporate partner. I was using a K20D and he the original 5D. I borrowed his for a while, just to see. . .the 5D is so outwardly plain that I was curious about what gives. I was blown away by how accurate and fast the AF was on that 5D compared with my K20D. Three days later I purchased a 7D and that was the beginning of the end of my Pentax days.
I'm sure you will enjoy using that 17mm TSE. Don't dare put it on a 5D MK3 with LiveView.
