Those pictures were probably taken on a camera that supports A mode, and can work without aperture-ring-less lenses. Definitely not a K1000 :)

That's nice to hear, then. I bought it off ebay from a guy in Israel for $1, wasn't expecting much, to be honest, but it isn't too bad.
