Guys, thanks for the info.
I have considered a manual version of the lens, but as I would also wish to use it for general use I'll go with the AF version.

Good evening all, not been around for a while, due to home and work commitments but loving my K5! (actually had a pic published too!)
I want to get into wildlife macro and have seen a used Tamron sp90 Di going for £175 at a reputable dealer.
a) do you think that is a fair price
b) do you think that would be a good lens to get me going?
My budget is limited and indeed, I'm pushing it a bit at that price. The few reviews I've read seem extremly favourable of that lens. What your thoughts please.
