For some time I didn't shoot with my KP and DA15 Limited. But today I wanted to go out uncompromisingly lightweight. So took this combo plus my lightweight tripod and made some images - fog was rising and the sun setting. Pixel shifted ...

I already showed this capture in the K-1 thread. But that version wasn't pixel shift resolution developed. The following version is pixel shift resolution developed in Raw Therapee and cropped to aspect ratio 4:3 ...

I think you are quite right and guess Bruce's method is the way to go for handheld dynamic pixel shift. If I understood handheld dynamic PS correctly, using Bruce's technique I can also do it with my unchanged K-1 if I'd like to. ;)

The in camera generated tiff is 8 bit RGB if I remember right. No loss by jpg lossy compression but maybe in some image areas visible loss by internal conversion from 14 bit to 8 bit. So if we compare images generated using an external raw converter where we can use all „tricks“ that theses converters offer and the 8 bit in camera generated tiff the first one may be better - we may loose what we wanted to gain using PSR (whatever version we use)?! - Only a guess.

For this image it may be that I in addition used my achromat. So magnification could be a bit better than using only the DFA100WR. With DA TC1.4x „on top“ I could get even more optical magnification. Like you say it‘s really amazing what‘s possible going to 100% pixel view. Unfortunately 800 x 800 px makes sense nearly only for internet presentation. ;)
