Sunday View from Propylaea, Königsplatz (Kings Square), to Obelisk, Munich
From left to right: Glyptothek, my footbike in the foreground (half left side), Brienner Straße and Obelisk in the distance, on the right Staatliche Antikensammlung.
Four horizontal images stitched in Capture One Pro. My 10 stop ND filter wasn't enough to let vanish people fully, each shot 1.3 seconds. Some ghosts are visible. 3:1 pano crop. |

Many thanks! - "Unfortunately" I don’t know any rule I have to follow in my photography. :)
Your’re right. The image is showing my bike and camera backpack at the right border. It tells a short chapter of my photography journey. Maybe that’s similar to Alfred Hitchcock showing himself in his movies for a split second?! ;)

K-1 | FF | Landscape Orientation | DFA21Ltd. | 3 rows x 3 columns | 4:3 crop
Stitched in Capture One Pro 22, Spherical Projection. Perspective Projection didn't work because it exceeded maximum size allowed in C1Pro 22.
IMO it's not convenient that it's not possible to crop in C1Pro's Pano Module. I stitched one image of four files using Perspective Correction. The generated DNG file was 3.3 GB with a lot of black areas. The usable 3:4 crop showed 75.4 MB and dimensions of ~3074 x 4094px as psd file. Surprisingly I couldn't get a result with my old PT Gui Pano Software.

Upgraded to Capture One Pro 22 which offers an embedded panorama module. First trial with four horizontal images I took last year. Originally stitched with PTGui - now with Capture One Pro. The images are made using a pano head and "no-parallax-point-rail", K-1 and DFA28-105@28mm.
Guess this will be sufficient for the kind of panos I do. No need to use intermediate 16 bit tiff and another software. I can choose from four projections. The moment you choose a projection, stitching starts. In this case I chose the exotic panini projection. A virtual result is generated and shown. Change the projection type and this projection is applied. Repeat until you like one, then confirm and a huge DNG file is generated. This file is huge for this kind of projection. Have to check results for the other projections.
Seems you can apply all Capture One Pro functions the usual way to optimize the image to your visualisation and/or liking. Usually the fist function to apply will be cropping.
A significant crop to get an image that can be shown in this thread:
First impression: very easy to use and good stitching result, huge DNG files and some waiting time to get the projection and stored DNG.

K-1, SensorMode Square, DA15
4 images, because of dark corners cropped to ratio 4:5 and stitched in PTGui - 129° x 76,5° - 7793x4223px
finished in CaptureOne
Edit: for those who are interested in the result of stitching the full 360° cylindrical panorama with 16 dark cornered DA15 images:lol::
Edit: another try - 5 images, every image fully preprocessed in Capture One then stitched in PTGui.
A lot sharper and better colors, in total 156,4° x 76°. |
