Great comparaison ! Both lenses are very decent, the DFA is really far sharper ! ... but all those longitudinal fringing on 2px near the coin :lol: :lol: :lol:

The goal of Pentax is to sell things. They won't create a lense for people who don't buy any new body because they use film, or old IstD.
At some point people have to realise that a legacy is great. But a company can't live in the past.
I'm very happy that Pentax create this amazing lense, and plan to create more. They made an incredible FF body. And an amazing KP body.
Future is forward, not in the "side mirror".

It would suppose adapter get updated to use the KAF4 and electronic aperture.

I'm pretty confident in Europe (France-Germany-Italy-UK specifically) price will go down. Already have in fact.
Exception remains for the 35mm and lower that are fast. Price holds high points. The FA 35mm f2 is almost impossible to find second hand since few months. On the other hand the DA 35/2.4 is widely available second hand.
Can't wait for the DFA 35 to be aliiiiiive !
