Thanks to everyone for the encouraging comments on my Lake Louise shot. The neat thing about this thread is that everything you post competes against some truly excellent photography. Love the macro and people captures :)

Here are three others from the same roll that also seemed to come out quite well. A 45% reduction of the scans was the only PP.

A postcard snapshot, no more, I know, on a drive my wife and I took last week through the Canadian Rockies -- but I'm really happy with the way the optics of the 35~105mm f/3.5 SMCP-A lens made it come alive, on consumer-grade Fuji 400. Metering by sunny-16 on my batteryless MX:

The 55mm Super-Takumar lens is by far my favorite. Here it's been mounted via adapter on an MX, in front of consumer-grade Fuji 200 film.

I was surprised and greatly impressed with the illusion of depth at f/8.

It was a very still spring afternoon.

The last image is tilted to suggest something of the way this couple was doing not-so-slow dancing/twirling to the sound of the ambient spring air.

Technically, these shots are interesting because my batteries went dead and the exposure was eyeballed. MX, 40mm pancake, Fuji 400, 20% reduction from the negative scan.

Spring this year just won't come.

I think everyone's mood is reduced to monochrome.

Wind chill, uh-huh. She's facing the wind -- 20 km/h at -20C! About 3 in the afternoon... Thanks!

Here's "cool". Dry, bright, windy, -20.

MX, 50mm/f2 w/polarizing filter, kodak 200 gold, nominally 1/250 -- f16.

the exposure seems strangely off; the metering might be off because of the cold.

Same camera, MX, f3.5/35~105 zoom, fuji 400, on a warm day in the luminous semi-cloudy light, can't remember exposure details:
