I grabbed the Mamiya 6 as we headed out for a walk in Palmer Park (Colorado Springs) and shot a roll of Neopan 100 Acros. |

I rode the cograil with relatives last week and didn't even plan to shoot any film, but discovered that I had forgotten to take the Fuji GF670 out of my bag and found a roll of Neopan 100 in my pocket so shot a roll in the wonderful, but rather cold light. |

Thanks! And yes, it's been a while since I've used my Pentax cameras very much. Got a new digital camera so that has been getting more of my attention and time. But I still love getting out with the 67ii and the 645N!

I shot a couple of fireworks shows this summer with the 67ii on RVP 100F. For the first one I was really close so I decided to intentionally get even closer with the 135/4 and mostly just shot partials and closeups rather than trying to capture the entire scene.

Had an early morning stroll with the Mamiya 6 and 50/4 with a roll of Neopan 100 Acros. This marsh is a five minute walk from our new residence!
1. The snowplows are in hibernation right now and parked next to our house. Notice that the chains are left on, just in case!!!
2. Several sunrise photographers were just packing up and leaving as I arrived.
3. All to myself
4. A bit washed out but no flare with this lens! |

Fantastic image Mike! How do the 25mm and the 35mm compare on the 645D in your experience? Which do you use more frequently?

yuck! I don't like what your resizing did to the colors at all. I didn't have any trouble seeing the first one and loved it. But this smaller one looks like maybe the original shot prior to PP that's just been resized. Colors are dull, clarity is down, etc.
Great photo though! Some day I will get to China.

I've been testing the SMC Pentax-A 645 1:4 300mm ED(IF) that I picked up recently on my 645N. So far I've only done handheld stuff in monochrome but I'm pretty happy with the results.

So Rob, am I correct in assuming that in your viewfinder the letters on the bike crate appeared to be in focus, rather than the rear wheel? I've never heard of that sort of problem with a manual focus camera but if they have adjustment screws for it I guess it must be an issue in some cases. Seems strange that you would experience it in two cameras in a row though. So I will ask an irreverent question; please don't take offense. Is there any chance this is an eyesight issue on the part of the user, and could be corrected by use of a properly adjusted diopter? (Once again, just a complete shot in the dark)

My wife and I visited the city of Ofunato in Iwate Prefecture over New Years. I got up early on the 31st and found a high spot overlooking the bay to shoot the sunset. The photos aren't anything remarkable but the tragic story of the March 11, 2011 tsunami is far from over in this part of the country. The harbors and inlets pictured here are part of the Hirota Peninsula which was ravaged by the water that day. All the harbors were completely destroyed, entire fleets of fishing vessels lost and all the the aquaculture that fills these bays was washed away. The entire economic infrastructure was demolished. And the human toll was in the thousands, just in the areas I could see from this lookout. Help was especially slow to come to this area because at the base of the peninsula is a large area of flat farm land that lies barely above sea level. It was entirely flooded, essentially cutting the whole peninsula off from the mainland. We've had the privilege of being involved in the relief efforts ever since and continue to make trips up there every 2-3 months.
While the ocean has been a source of unspeakable tragedy for this area, it is also the source of almost everyone's livelihood and also a source of incredibly beautiful landscapes. While some areas have been rebuilt there are still entire towns and cities that haven't. The debris has been cleaned up and in some areas you just see acres and acres of empty land, with no hint of what happened other than the concrete foundations that still lie their, washed clean of everything they help up. But when ever I get the chance I like to take photos that focus on the hope, the new life that is emerging and the natural beauty of the area. Thanks for letting me ramble a bit.
