Hi gang

For those of you who have been frequenting the film section of this forum for a while you will no doubt know of @Swift or Daiku_san or his real name Colton Allen.

I learned this morning from a post on his Instagram feed by his wife Tiffany that Colton has succumbed in his fight with ALS.

Thats a bit of a unicorn.. a 110 with film and a willing shooter? Every one I've come across seems to be treated like a museum piece. I'm interested to follow for your results.

That one looks like the Hammer - adjacent to the Sirloin Cellar. It's a great spot for making photos.

Ektar 100 renders so much detail - It's as good as digital.

I have acquired a 20mm f4 which is in somewhat less than pristine condition. Looks like it still makes good exposures though. K1000 M 20 f4 @ f9.5 1/250

Wouldnt those exposure with a dynamic range beyond NeoPan400's range be candidates for stand development? Presumably you'd shoot the roll in such contrasty lighting.

I've had issues with poorly exposed frames, and I don't feel I have the skill / tools to get the most out of the negative.

This image left me underwhelmed - I supposed the mixed light is the cause, but It just leaves me wanting more. Thoughts? Again, Portra 400, but indoors with ambient light at a shutter speed that should be faster.

The points on scanner / scanner software up above is really stunning - I know my V500 is a limitation but I didn't realize how much. This is Epson Scan of Portra 400. K1000 / SMC Pentax 55mm f2.0 (shooting a month with it for Single In)

I'm a hack at scanning, so if there are any glaring suggestions to be made please feel free! Cheers.

You nailed it, Toronto does have some people processing E-6 but it is quite the drive for me. I'm closer to Buffalo than T.O.
