Heehee.... I'd love to say something about Canada getting things first (ahem, K-3, gold medals in Olympic hockey, etc.), but like derekkite says, "I got it for work." :D

"Big crop and rough processing" on the stone, or the photo? Looks like Olmec eyes, but I'd need to see the rest.
Been using my Q+01 for some (ahem) product "action" shots. Love that tiny sensor DOF sometimes! |

Nice! What lens were you using? How many shots?

It was (and is) a serious compliment. IMHO, you've really improved if I go by those two shots. Very concentrated and purposeful compositions with just the right amount of post processing. The winky-smiley is just how I end sentences - no sarcasm intended. ;)
Love #2. That is some hard-to-find bokeh for the Q!

Is it just me, or is this guy getting a lot better? ;)

Looks like the T&T Supermarket near my old place.
Interesting processing - in camera?

Great shot! I think that's the shortest non-cable ferry route in the world right there... (400 ft?) and I take it all the time. Can't wait for the pedway construction to be finished, but I'll miss the brief water ride.

Ha! This is why, after going up to Lyon to see this one year, the next year we just stayed in Grenoble and drank. Fête de la musique was always much better... ;)
Nice colors, in any case!

Hey, if you want to imagine purple silk and physical mayhem, that's fine with me... ;)

Given that the Q can take a photo without any lens attached at all, I decided to set it to AWB and ISO250 and press it up near things of varying brightness to get different shutter speeds. (It seems the EXIF reports the last-used SR focal length, as if an adapted lens is attached!).
Not exactly "art," but I found it pretty interesting to see the results of the electronic shutter in action when the sensor is nearly pressed up against a cut-glass tumbler of scotch. (Oh yeah, that explains it...) 0.5 second exposure 1/2500 1/400 1/6400 1/2000 1/2500 |

Fantastic shots! The second one in particular. That last one looks like the eastbound lane of the Gardiner Expressway (I spend some quality time there almost every day).
