Hi, according to your lens review it seems you have the lens with the oldest firmware as you mentioned problems with K5 live view focusing. I've updated lens FW five years ago as these HSM II lenses did nothing in live-viev on my K5. It only went forward, backward without lock. After firmware update it works as any other lens in live view.
This probably is the problem you have.. and now K-1 maybe uses the same shorter steps like LV on K5, to the lens has problems. ---------- Post added 10-05-16 at 02:05 PM ----------
Sigma 70-200 EX DG HSM II is this one: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/attachments/36-sold-items/255150d14216609...m-k_3s2837.jpg
There are only three sigma 70-200 lenses (!)
Old body-driven 70-200/2.8 APO EX
Upgraded 70-200/2.8 EX APO DG HSM II
And then completely new stabilised 70-200/2.8 EX DG OS

Sig 70-200HSM II had its problems in past while trying to do live-view focusing on K5. It just went through whole range without lock. Lens firmware update fixed that..
Are your 70-200s focusing properly in live-view on other pentax cameras? If not, update lens firmware. If they work and problem is only with K-1, then lets investigate.
