Does it count as forest fungi if it was outside the local Dunkins?
As an aside, never would have thought I'd even *get* fungus shots with a 500mm lens, but it has a 'macro' mode, so long as you don't mind being 9 feet away when you're macro'ing close-focusing.

Did I ever share my stump? Because I totally should have shared my stump last Spring...
Shot with an el-cheapo Miranda 70-210mm I spent a whopping 10 bucks on (including the pristine Chinon it was mounted to)

I've taken my fair of walks in the woods up here. Much like Canada, Maine winters can be *long*.
I have yet to really explore the neighborhood I'm moving to, but I suspect my number of 'random bug shots' is going to go up exponentially (I'm basically moving to an area surrounded by bogs).
