Crossposting, but my newest addition to the family is that beast to the left of my K-x. I just need to get a hold of batteries for it and see how it works. The SF10 is in amazing condition for the price I paid for it - the $3 batteries are going to be almost 3 times the cost of the camera. :)

Also, obligatory family photo...

I just snagged an SF10 for a buck and a quarter on eBay. Its a crapshoot whether it will even work, but worst case I just have a place to store my 50mm f/2 :)

No, I bought it new, but I did let it sit around in the camera for about 4 months then sit around for another 4 ot 5 before sending it off. For all I know it could of been expired on the shelf at Walmart as well.

I think the range of shots was from Septemberish to Januaryish, then it sat on top of the TV until a few weeks ago.

EDIT: It was a roll of Kodak 400... something, picked up at the local drug store. The cheap stuff.

EDUIT II: The bad scanning isn't so evident in these shots, but there are huge water stains on the shots (every shot, exact same location) throughout the scans. They aren't on the actual prints. You can see them in the shot below a lot more easily. Top right, top center, bottom center.

I finally got around to shooting a roll through my A3000 I picked up last summer. I went 'cheap' for processing and took it to Walmart (and was amazed to realize that in-store film developing is dead). They shipped it out, scanned it (badly) and I figured I'd share the results.

I kind of like the 'vintage' effect the camera/lens combo gave it (I used a Pentax-M 50mm 2.0).

EDIT: It was the camera/lens combo shown in the bottom right of this group shot of the bodies I'd accumulated up to that point.

I'm sure if I'd gone to a place that gave a damn about developing and scanning the results would have been far better, but this was mostly just a test to see if the camera even worked to begin with so most of the shots were 'throw aways'.

This was probably the biggest 'keeper' of the lot. Somehow I managed to shoot a double exposure, and somehow the effect actually worked for me.

As an aside, since I honestly don't know what to look for, one of my fears was that the camera was allowing light through since the seals are gummy as hell. Is there any sign that light was getting in? Would that account for the green hue everything has, or can I chalk that up to crappy Walmart developing?

On a whim I went and bought a roll of Kodak something 400, and put it into the A3000, goopy seals and all. I notcied that lenses won't click into place on the camera - they'll go all the way but won't actually lock in place. That said, they still work, so I've been taking some peopel shots of friends and family to see how they turn out.

The camera amazingly basic - my K-x has spoiled me I think.

I'd love to find a seal kit for the A3000 one of these days. I was just rechecking the camera, it looks like it may actually never even have been used. It doesn't even have a scratch on the thing. I also love the remote shutter release on the front of the body itself. Quirky!

I'll have to find my point and shoot and grab a shot of my film stuff. I've never actually USED any of them - they all just came bundled with other stuff I was interested in. I would never think I'd 'accidentally' start acquiring film camera bodies. FWIW, I have a K1000, an A3000, and a pristine looking Minolta XG1. The XG1 cost me about a quarter if I average out the stuff in the lot that I won it in - I paid 99 cents for the lot, and shipping was 10 bucks. The A3000 has goopy light seals, but otherwise works as far as I can tell. The K1000 looks like it was used to hammer nails with.

EDIT: Well, duh. I have my K-x. For some reason I was mentally lumping it in with the film bodies.

EDIT II: I can't find the K1000, but I did stumble over a ME Super I'd forgotten all about.
