The shot is from 2 January. Real frost on ground and in branches but it has been desaturated and toned in post processing to bring it out, aim was to get it looking how it did to eye (the shots looked a bit too ‘contrasty’ in RAW).
From memory just mostly lightroom (2 shot HDR) with careful white balance and toning. Key change was significant desaturation of the green (algae on the trunks). Finished with a simple Orton process in photoshop and a little clarity bump for the foreground.

Thanks, definitely give it a go..... The DFA*85's amazing for these types of shots, if you can find the compositions. Here's another recent one.....

Thank you! I am definitely still learning it, wide open shots have their own discipline and I am out of practice. As a piece of kit it has got a lot of potential. My hit rate is slowly going up - it's nice to feel challenged at times as well.
Love those, especially the second shot with the 28-105.
