Thanks! You've inspired me to try something similar. I've rigged up diffusers from paper before but I like your less fragile arrangement - and your results speak for themselves.

It's working brilliantly!
Care to share a photo of the setup?

Jos - With pop up flash? Well done! Did you use anything to diffuse or reflect it?
I guess using the pop-up is maybe an advantage of the 50mm (and DA 35mm limited macro?). Im guessing that the bigger macro lenses can possibly block out the pop up flash at close quarters.

Exquisite is exactly the word. Beautifully sharp, delicate, vibrant yet restrained images. Just lovely!

Excited to say, it's my first K-1 post! And I'm not a FA 77 owner, so I could not wait to try my A50 f1.2, here at f8, and ISO800.
Hope the embed works ok, as always, click through for better quality.

Fantastic set, Todd. Love your rim-lit foilage shot too.
There is something about them all that is (to my eyes) very 'Pentax A' about the beautiful colours and rendering.
What is it about the best Pentax primes that results in images that can be pushed in post so beautifully?
My only A is the A50 f1.2, I need to take it out again. Thanks for the inspiration.

Pentax A-50mm f1.2 at f.9. OK not the most traditional use for this lens.....
K-3 with lightroom processing.
No idea why a group of pictures came out with 65mm EXIF last night, just one of those 'dirty contacts' things maybe!
