Excellent shots v5! I am curious about your experiences regarding K5/D600... Currently I tend to focus again on APS-C/Pentax...

That last shot of yours Swede is one of few shots on the last pages where I see the DOF advantage of FF.... #4 is funny :)

This building has become one of my favourites. Close by and quite appealing. It is a rather unusual focal length compared to my other architectural pictures, but considering the surroundings it was a logical choice to use the compressed field of vision a 50mm gives.
Any feedback is welcome!

Man, every shot you take has magic! Thanks for the explanation... Guess I'll stick with a 2-system approach for a while: Pentax with zooms and Canon 5D with primes. If I'd start again I'd go for the D7100 and if my Pentax K5 would not have been a present; I would have already fully jumped to Canon. Well, luxory problems :D

Amazing shots, Mark, as always! Just out of curiosity: Since you jumped ships to Nikon - any shot you would not have been able to take with Pentax? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for that!
I'll - though it might take some time, don't want to rush things. I already did that once and regreted it.

I'll try that :)
I am thinking about turning my back on fullframe... I have hardly any shots where I would have needed one - landscapes, architecture and studio just doesn't require it...

I am more than happy with my 5D. Since Neither I need the AF, nor the resolution. The largest I print is 30x45cm... Somehow I have settled. Sure I'd love to have a 24TSE, but with my 17-35, 35/2 and 85/1.8 I can cover 95% of my photography. Guess I am kind of the 3 lense guy. If Fuji comes up with a 23/1.4 and a TSE, I might be tempted for the size aspect.... but for now, the 5D and my K5 on travels is just right :)

Same here, I put all my hopes into that Samyang. Otherwise I might go for the 24 TSE I... Nonetheless I am not sure if it makes sense to spend such an amount of money (>700€) on a specialist lense, since it's only my hobby.
For digital shifting I use in most cases the Lightroom-Function. Another gorgeous program offering an automatic is ShiftN |

Some days ago after watching Lincoln - great movie! Exposure blending of 5 images, digitally shifted (do I need a TSE - damn I don't know...)

-15°C I guess, but nonetheless an amazing experience - I should do this more often, as I used to in the past...

Another shot of the morning spent freezing at the lake. Recently I have realized that using longer focal lengthens can be beneficial when shooting landscapes, as it clears up the structure of the image due to the narrower field of view.
