I don't work with filters very often, nor do I have the 15-30. Wouldn't whatever solution you get for the 15-30 work with your other lenses as well? Yes I agree it sucks to buy something after you've already bought it before. Pentax D FA 15-30mm filter system - PentaxForums.com |

The 28-105 doesn't go to 24mm, but the 15-30 does. Carrying both the 24-70 and the 28-105 seems to be completely redundant to me.
My current kit in Alaska is a sigma 10-20 f3.5, 20-40 limited, DA*50-135, a takumar 200mm f4, Super-tak 55 f1.8, and a SMC-K 2x teleconverter. I feel like this kit gives me everything and anything I need to shoot anything from the northern lights to big wildlife, though I would like to replace the 200 with a 2.5 or a * 2.8 version and maybe the TC with the HD 1.4x, and add a couple faster AF primes.
I could easily get by with the ultra wide and the tele-zoom, plus a middle range normal prime, to keep a lighter kit. So for the K-1, the 15-30, 70-200 or modded 60-250, and the 43mm Limited. Or go even lighter with the 15-30, the 43 and 77 limiteds, and a 135 and/or 200mm prime. While I tend to use zooms for composition in landscapes, I am almost always using one extreme or the other of the zoom range. Actually I'd probably go with the 70-200/60-250, 43, 31, and find a A or FA 20mm, but I'm very tele-centric with my work.
