This is a very cool shot. I think I would crop a 1/3 off the top as my eyes are drawn their first. None the less, I love the detail. color and composition.

Yea, I shoot Jpeg 100% of the time. But to be honest, most people know the K-7 does NOT handle high ISO well and it is a different type of noise. The sensors of the K-7 and K20D are infact different sensors. It is sad, but the truth is, my old K10D was better at ISO1600 than my K-7 ever was.

The K20D's handle noise very well to 3200 with min PP and usable for me at iso4000.
It is no secret that the K-7 is good to about ISO800 and 1600 with pp. The K-7 is better than the K20D below ISO 400 and has better DR, but that does not work for me. If you look at the exif on many of my photos, you will see why :)

I should have mentioned it. I am not getting out of pentax. I have 2 K20D's that I am keeping along with my DA15, 21, 31, 40 FA50 and 77 (all pentax primes) I also have a sigma 24, cosina 24, vivitar 24, SMC-A 24 (primes as well) and finally I am keeping my Tamron 17-35, Tokina 20-35 and Tamron 18-250 because I have a perfect copy.
My 28-75 is going to Kyle (Specialk) which is cool, because he also lives in Southern cal and will pick it up Sat. My 28-75 is a fantastic copy and I wrestled more in selling that, than the 50-135. I still have a bunch of Pentax lenses I will be selling as soon as I go through them. Many I have used only a few times. LBA hit me bad at one time :)
As for nikon, I just added a D7000 to my line up, so I will be selling my D300S and keeping the D700.

Thank you. There was a rumor going around here in L.A. that it might rain tomorrow, but looks like it was but another rumor. We get so little rain here i, it is a shame.

thank you very much. :) I very much love this 17-35mm tamron. I keep wanting to pull the trigger on the Tamron 17-50F/2.8, But I am afraid of being disappointed.

Thank you. I really need to go back myself. With all the flying madness going on at the airports, I may not be flying much for a while though.

Here are a few images I made when I visited San Franciscos China town a few weeks back. I was out there in the pouring rain with a T shirt and my beloved K20D with the Tamron 17-35 that held up perfectly in the rain. |
