Lovely. :)
Donna Summer comes to mind (Hot Stuff).
Hey, that's great. More potential subjects for this thread!

Being clumsy isn't all bad. Earlier this week, my everyday habit of dropping objects led to an opportunity.
When I fumbled my house keys down to the floor, I was amused to see they appeared to land on their "feet".

Good stuff, guys. I like the creativity.
Something else I like is my dish rack. Seriously! :) Those crisscross lines seem made for photos ops. And sure enough, while making breakfast this morning, an Everyday Object Moment happened:
A water pitcher sitting in the dish rack. Lit only by light from the kitchen window . . .
Paraphrasing Peter Gabriel, I had to look - I had no choice!
And then, of course, I flew off to fetch the camera.
Yes, I gave it the black & white treatment because the original colors were as dull as ......... oh, never mind. :p (K-7 & Vivitar 28mm f2.0 close focus) |

Ah, yes. Household art / decor Objects offer many opportunities.
Hmm. I suddenly feel an urge to use my Tak 28 f/3.5. :)
A nice series, pepperberry. I like the colors and variety of subjects you chose.
And I also like the variety of lenses you used!
More than once, this thread has motivated me to revive a neglected lens. I rarely use my M 50 f/2, but it was the right lens for this next shot.
I like this scene because the morning sun shining in from the side lights the wall, but not the vase in front of it. Attachment 315100

Thank you. :)
I added some contrast and texture in PP, but that's essentially the way it looked in person.

My exercise bike sits in the basement. One night I was down there with only one light on and I noticed the bike seat . . .

When I noticed this Object on the kitchen table, I thought it resembled a horse with a bit in its mouth.
... Yes it does! :p You just need to stare awhile and use your imagination. :o [K-7 / Sears 55 f2.8 macro] |

:) That's cute.
Young or not so young, we all need toys.
Thanks, Paul.
My latest toy is a Pentax DA 10-17 fisheye. I've only just begun to use it, but I already really like its combination of huge field of view and super short minimum focus distance (14cm).
I think the 10-17 is going to be ideal for Everyday Objects.

Many interesting Objects there! They might even have something like this:
Any idea what cast this shadow?

Maybe Ricoh / Pentax should hire some of CFA's marketing people? :)
Seriously though, that's very interesting to hear. And sort of sobering, too.
Yes, I can appreciate that.

You're too quick, Paul! I took down my post because I got to thinking about how some people might interpret it. :p
I was going to change the wording, but, oh well. Here it is again:
[K-7 & Vivitar 20mm f3.8 @ 3.8]
I love bananas.
Today I was staring at my banana hanger and . . . . . you see the result.
I also love close focusing lenses. And the bananas were a good excuse to use my Vivitar 20mm lens (manual focus, M42 screw mount).
It's not super sharp, but I like it because it focuses down to 6 inches / 15 cm.
A fun lens! ---------- Post added 12-13-15 at 05:36 PM ----------
Yeah, I've heard about several Vivitar lenses in that range, but I don't know how they differ. I don't use my 20 for landscapes because it's too soft. But, I think it works well enough for close up stuff.
Closed on Sunday? I don't see that very often these days.

Here's another from years ago. My great aunt used this metal basket to gather eggs on her farm:

Metal objects up close have such interesting details and textures.
Nice earth tone palette.
Coffee makes me think about shake reduction.
My stovetop gets used as a table as much as for cooking. And I've found that the black glass makes a good backdrop for pictures.
So, occasionally I just have to stop to take a picture of something that happens to be on the stove that day.
Here's an abstract:
