Thank you Deimos. 43mm is my most used focal length on film also funny enough my least used on digital.

Apparently there's some kind of bat that eats the horn. I'm not sure how true that is, but at least he's not a poachers target any more.

Great photos, I love my 31 for food shots too.

Not quiet, just lightly grilled on both sides and then dipped in sauce. |

Cheers.
Fortunately for you I've taken most of the food shots with my GRD, so you don't have to get too hungry. But it was one of the tastiest and most tender beef slices of beef I ever had.
Thank you, I like this shot too, mostly for it's simplicity and it just somehow flows...

I would say it would have been worth closing up the lens to f2.8 or more, since there's some very obvious and distracting PF coming off the medals, belts and other highlights. Otherwise it's a great photo and it should be easily fixable in PP.

I finally got mine 77mm from repairs after it got jammed. I've forgot to calibrate the focus on it and the following shots are backfocused, but I will post them anyway: |

I highly recommend the YN560 and V5 combo too. I was surprised how easy manual flash was to use to get the exact results I want. Especially after all the scaremongering and the need for PTTL which never gets what I want. My 360fgz couldn't read my mind after all... So I've sold it for the lack of it's psychic abilities.

I had exactly the same issue with mine 77mm. It happened just as I was getting a really good photo too.... :hmm:

Thanks, appreciate it. I like your first photo, especially since I'm pretty bad with B&W :)
Here's my semi B&W attempt with 43ltd
Edit: the vignetting was added in PP, it's not the lens

Thanks loco. Your photo makes me wish there was a lot more fog and most where I live. You have managed to really capture the atmosphere of the location/time. http://jarek.smugmug.com |

It's a viet model. I've 21 and 15ltds MIV models with lots more photos and they are fine.
My 31 has sloppiness in the barrel as well, from what I've read it's normal and it's the way it's designed. Apparently you will not find a 31 without any movement. My one takes great shots, it's MIJ and I got it 2nd hand. http://jarek.smugmug.com |

Some photos I took on weekend, I would have used the 77mm lens a lot more, but the focusing mechanism broke and eventually sized up, not happy about it, since I only took around ~200 photos with this lens.

And my attempt at on the run strobist photography, it didn't come out as well as I had hopped since my woman was telling me to hurry up
