The UCI World Road Cycling Championships came to Richmond, Virginia for two weeks in September, and hundreds of thousands came to downtown Richmond to watch the cycling action. This is a photo of a member of Team USA speeding down East Main Street in downtown Richmond during one of the women's time trial events. I managed to capture her just as she went over the crosswalk, and I think the lines of the crosswalk really add to the perception of the motion happening in this shot. I definitely had plenty of opportunities to perfect my panning skills!
