They may not be happy with a D800 sized camera and a f2.8 lens because of the size, but how does a APS DSLR fare any better? Yes its smaller than full frame, but the difference between an iphone and a APS is much much greater than APS to FF. If your a "cell cam" user, both APS and FF cameras look giant and obtrusive, so neither is really appealling, especially at over $1000.
You can't fit either in your pocket. And if all you are doing is posting to facebook and instagram, you won't notice a difference in IQ either.

He pretty much said that this is the camera Nikon should've made, how great it is for APS-C pros, and all you guys can focus on is the two negatives he mentioned. It just smacks of inferiority complex. He is doing what he should do, it helps no one if everything is positive and rosey. No camera is perfect, it is up to the reviewrs to point out both the positives and negatives, and it is up to the consumers to weigh the positives against the negatives and see if it is worth the cost to them.

I agree regarding the AF needs to be tested....but regarding IQ I think the K-3 no doubt will have much better IQ than the D300s which was considered a prolevel APS-C

The K-3 is THE only pro level aps-c body right now. The question is, does pentax have the pro level lenses to match? I contend they do not until they address the SDM issue. If they already have, then they need something more official than some second hand wishy washy leak.

I know lots of folks around here dislike Thom Hogan, but he has long called Pentax the most complete APS-C system out there. And he constantly bashes Nikon for ignoring that segment. He does talk a lot more about Nikon, but that is because that is his main system and what he grew up with.
