Ace Photo in Northern Virginia near Washington, DC had their big semi-annual sale. Pentax/Ricoh had a rep there for the first time with some counter space along side Sony, Olympus, and Canikon. Got a good deal on the DA Limited 20-40mm. :-)

I just heard a radio commercial for a local Washington, DC area camera store ( Ace Photo, www.acephoto.net) for the Pentax K-30. Also, on April 20 is Pentax day at the store they are giving demos of Pentax gear!!
They have a good line of Pentax gear!!

I saw someone purchase a new WG-10 at my local Target store on Saturday. This always a good sign!!

Guess I was not out shooting that day! I live in the DC area. We are out there, I do see people with Pentax, local and tourists. Although, no where near many as Canon or Nikon. But, it is always a good feeling when you spot a Pentax.

I was good to see at ACE Photo in Ashburn, VA a big display of the K-01 as you walk in to the store. A customer was looking at one and was planning purchasing! Refreshing to see the sales person actually pointing out its good features!

Just saw the NBC Nightly News, there was a segment on Occupy Wall Street and there was a guy with a Pentax taking photos. Nice to see over Canon or Nikon for a change.

I have been seeing more Pentax users in the Washington, DC area as some local camera shops are carrying Pentax again. I like being different and love to say I use Pentax. Nothing wrong with Canikons, but we are a unique and proud bunch! I have had a K110D, K200D, K20D and now a K-5. I got great use and photos from all of them!
