If you find you need something a bit more sturdy, like if there's a breeze that interferes with paper, try cutting a chunk off an aluminum pie plate (the disposable type), curling it into a bit of an arc, and punching a hole for it to go on the tripod screw between it and camera. It's easier to do than explain, I think.

Eddie, the K-r doesn't have a port for it.
jacamar, you can very easily build a small reflector to clip onto your tripod that will let you shoot from behind the camera, with the remote.

Troll post. Just trying to stir things up. Pentax isn't giving up the SAFOX system anytime soon, so why would you want to subject yourself to it again if you're so unhappy? As I'm sure you're well aware, if there were any kind of announcement of a new camera, you wouldn't have missed it. There would be fifty threads about it in the first few days, just as there were about the K-01.
